Where the barrels come from

Refinery allocation, held in our own name

Most bitumen offered out of the region is resold two or three times before it reaches a buyer. Every resale is a point at which a cargo can fail to load. We hold allocation at source, so the tonnes quoted to you are tonnes already assigned to us.

  • Monthly allocation contracted directly with the refineries — no intermediary holds the cargo.
  • Production scheduled against your order, not sourced on the spot market after payment.
  • Loading, documentation and inspection coordinated by our own trade desk.
  • One counterparty from allocation through to bill of lading.

Loading and allocation at source. Filmed at our contracted refinery operations — no stock footage anywhere on this site.

Grades

Specify it precisely. We'll quote it precisely.

Penetration and viscosity grades produced to ASTM methods, with a certificate of analysis issued against the actual production batch for every shipment.

Packing & loading

Three formats, loaded to your booking

Packing is chosen against your discharge capability and freight route, not against what we happen to have. Figures below are nominal — final loading plans are confirmed per shipment.

  • New steel drums prepared for loading

    New steel drums

    Net weight
    150 kg / 180 kg
    Per 20′ container
    80 drums (approx. 14.4 MT)
    Best for
    Container routes, staged discharge
  • Jumbo bags prepared for loading

    Jumbo bags

    Net weight
    1,000 kg / 1,100 kg
    Per 20′ container
    20 bags (approx. 20 MT)
    Best for
    Lower packing cost, mechanised handling
  • Bulk prepared for loading

Trade terms

We take the cargo as far as you need it

Terms are set per contract against your route and your customs position. If you are unsure which fits, our trade desk will price two options side by side.

  • EXWEx Works

Collection at the loading point. You nominate the transport; we prepare, pack and hand over with the full document set.

  • FCAFree Carrier

We deliver to your nominated carrier or terminal, cleared for export, with loading completed on our side.

  • FOBFree On Board

We handle inland haulage, export clearance and loading at the port of shipment against your vessel nomination.

  • CIFCost, Insurance & Freight

We arrange freight and marine cover to your named discharge port and present documents ready for clearance.

Sampling and testing prior to loading
Quality assurance

Documented, batch by batch

Quality disputes at destination are expensive and slow. The document set is built so the cargo can be verified on arrival against what was certified at loading.

  • Certificate of analysis per shipment

Issued against the actual production batch loaded for you — not a generic grade sheet. Penetration, softening point, flash point, solubility and ductility as applicable to the grade.

  • ASTM test methods

Grades produced and tested to the ASTM methods referenced on each specification sheet, with tolerances stated rather than implied.

  • MSDS with every consignment

Safety data sheet supplied with the document set for handling, storage and customs presentation at destination.

Buyer-appointed inspection at loading is welcome and can be written into the contract. We will accommodate the agency and sampling protocol you nominate.

Payment

Terms that open up as the record builds

We would rather agree conservative terms on a first cargo and widen them over a working relationship than quote flexibility we cannot stand behind.

  • 01

    First shipment

    • Cash against documents
    • Advance payment

Straightforward terms while both sides establish a record.

  • 02

    Established buyers

    • Balance payment
    • Draft

Part-payment structures agreed against shipment history.

  • 03

    Contract volume

    • Letter of credit
    • Term contracts

L/C against agreed document sets for repeat monthly liftings.

Final terms, settlement route and document set are agreed in the sales contract for each shipment.

HSE

Handled properly, because the alternative is expensive

Bitumen is a hot product with real handling risk. Our procedures exist to protect the people loading it and the cargo you are paying for.

  • Site safety

Loading and handling procedures with documented controls for hot product, confined loading areas and PPE.

  • Emissions control

Temperature-controlled storage and loading to limit fume generation during transfer and filling.

  • Packaging discipline

New drums used for export consignments; packaging specified to survive the route rather than the yard.

How it works

From enquiry to discharge

Five steps, with the commitment points stated up front. Nothing is due from you until a contract is signed.

  1. 01

    Enquiry

Grade, tonnage, packing, destination port and preferred term.

  2. 02

    Firm offer

Priced offer with validity, packing plan and the document set you will receive.

  3. 03

    Contract

Sales contract covering specification, tolerances, terms and inspection rights.

  4. 04

    Production & loading

Allocation drawn, product loaded, COA issued against the loaded batch.

  5. 05

    Documents & delivery

Full document set presented; cargo moves under the agreed Incoterm.

Request for quotation

Tell us the cargo. We'll price it.

A firm offer needs five things. Give us those and our trade desk replies within one business day — with a priced offer, not a request for more details.

  • No obligation and no payment at enquiry stage.
  • Priced offer with validity and packing plan.
  • Handled by the trade desk, not a call centre.
